Project Goal
To simplify and enhance the bus booking journey by improving usability, visual consistency, and overall user satisfaction-resulting in faster bookings and increased user trust in the digital platform.
Challenges Addressed
During the redesign, several key issues were identified that directly affected user experience and system efficiency.
Outdated interface: The existing design lacked visual hierarchy and modern Ul patterns.
Complex navigation: Users struggled to find buses, compare options, or filter efficiently.
Overloaded information: Too many elements on a single screen made the interface cluttered and confusing.
Accessibility gaps: Insufficient contrast, small fonts, and unclear CTAs affected usability.
Design Approach
A user-centered design process focusing on research, usability, and iteration:
User research: Identified key traveler needs and common booking pain points.
Information architecture: Simplified the flow for finding and booking buses.
Wireframing & prototyping: Created low- to high-fidelity screens in Figma for testing.
Usability testing: Collected feedback to refine navigation, filters, and layout.
Design Concept
The design concept focuses on creating a modern, minimal, and trustworthy digital experience that reflects the efficiency and reliability of TNSTC. The visual language uses clean layouts, intuitive navigation, and a color palette inspired by Tamil Nadu's transport identity. The overall concept aims to balance functionality with simplicity-making ticket booking feel effortless and dependable for every user.
