Project Goal
To develop an intuitive solution that lets users quickly discover available parking, view real-time space updates, and complete bookings with minimal steps.
Challenges Addressed
During the discovery phase, several usability and contextual issues were identified that affected the overall parking experience.
Inefficient search process: Users struggled to locate nearby parking or filter based on vehicle type and duration.
Poor map interaction: The interface didn't clearly display available and occupied spots.
Unclear pricing structure: Lack of transparent cost information caused confusion.
Limited trust indicators: Users had no assurance about the accuracy or reliability of parking data.
Design Approach
An iterative and context-driven design process was followed to create a smooth, reliable journey for every user:
Context research: Studied user behavior in high-traffic areas to understand parking challenges.
Flow optimization: Simplified key tasks like searching, booking, and payment confirmation.
Interactive prototypes: Built and tested functiona ototypes to validate usability.
Refinement & polish: Enhanced visual hierarchy, interaction feedback, and accessibility.
Design Concept
The concept centers around simplicity, clarity, and trust. The visual direction uses clean typography and neutral tones, and interactive map cues to make navigation effortless. Icons and markers highlight space availability in real time, creating a sense of control and reliability. The design ensures that users feel confident finding and reserving a parking spot within seconds.
